Friends’ effort on the map
Cancer charity Friends of Anchor is challenging the public to get active.
People of all ages and abilities are encouraged to walk, run, cycle, skate or scoot to cover 2,600 miles to help raise funds.
Marketing assistant Naomi Forrest said: “We provide direct support to patients in Aberdeen city and shire, Moray, Orkney and Shetland – and if you were to take a map and draw a big circle around these areas, it would measure an epic 2,600 miles.”
Each participant will be given a mileage calendar and access to an online community to share stories and photos.
Donations can be made per person or per household to get involved in the Go The Distance campaign.
