Spectis Robotics in Canadian deal
Granite City firm says partnership with Deep Trekker will boost portfolio and facilitate expansion into new sectors
Aspecialist provider of remotely-operated robotic crawlers and camera systems, Spectis Robotics has announced a partnership agreement with a Canadian firm.
Located in Kitchener, Ontario – known as the Silicon Valley of the north – Deep Trekker is a leading designer and manufacturer of underwater ROVs, cameras and submersible crawlers for asset inspection, maintenance and operational support to industries including nuclear, oil and gas, maritime and aquaculture.
The new partnership will provide the Aberdeenbased firm with direct access to Deep Trekker’s experienced engineers to assist in the development of inspection solutions across multiple sectors.
Formerly Inuktun Europe, Spectis Robotics rebranded in June 2019 with managing director Brian Storie retaining full ownership.
This latest development is aligned with Spectis Robotics’ continued promise to deliver proven inspection solutions complemented by a passion for innovation and collaboration to offer solutions with customisable off-the-shelf products.
Spectis also has an established research, design and development capability and is currently working on new products and improvements to its existing product range.
