Retailers need to be told about new rules
SIR, – Interesting to read (The Press and Journal, June 18) that new physical distancing plans for Rosemount have been changed, “averting disaster for its independent retailers”. Councillor Bill Cormie stated “early consultation was key”.
He obviously had wind of what was proposed and took steps accordingly. Contrast that with the Chapel Street/Rose Street/Thistle Street locale where consultation was non-existent and the first retailers knew was the arrival of yellow paint and “Road Closed” signs.
