Gifts for retiring farming stalwart

-

A well-known figure in the north-east farming sector has retired after 38 years working for farmers’ union NFU Scotland (NFUS) and rural insurer NFU Mutual.

Duncan Low, who worked as group secretary at the Thainstone branch, near Inverurie, was given gifts and donations from local NFUS members.

These included a limited edition print of a Highland cow and calf by Angela Davidson, whisky and wine.

NFUS central Aberdeenshire branch chairman, Dr Elaine Booth, said: “Duncan has always conducted NFUS business in an professional manner.

“He will be missed for all his efforts on behalf of the farming community.”
