Blame for virus toll lies at Westminster
SIR, – Many contributors criticise the Scottish Government’s actions in regard to Covid-19.
In the main, direction from Holyrood has been clearer and more concise than that emanating from Westminster.
Of course we should always remember that, had Westminster reacted timeously and closed the borders, we would not be in this sad situation.
We are, after all, an island nation, much easier to protect than a landlocked one.
Government’s first priority is protecting the wellbeing of its population. Westminster failed, without question, to do so.
