An Aberdeen charity is preparing to host an online girls’ night in to help the region’s disadvantaged young people.

Befriend A Child will host the virtual fundraiser on Friday, with participants treated to live hair, make-up and skin tutorials, as well as games and cocktail recipes.

The event has been supported by local businesses with all money raised going to support the charity’s work befriending young people across Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire.

Hannah Adams, marketing and communications manager for the charity, said: “‘We have had a brilliant response from local businesses who have been very keen to be involved and we have such an amazing schedule packed with live hair and beauty demonstrations, tutorials and tips supplied by experts in their field.

“The event is ideal for friend groups who haven’t been able to link up during lockdown to do something fun and a bit different, and for those who are looking to learn new skills and find out more about what businesses have on offer.”

Businesses such as the Brow Houz, the Studio Salon, Vanity Studio, HJC Styling and Dusk Bar have teamed up to host the experience.

Entry is £5 and the fun begins at 7pm.
