Blue sky thinking to boost ‘Brand Britain’

SIR, – Rather than indulging in any sort of vanity project, Boris Johnson’s decision to refresh the livery on “his” aircraft seems more like a shrewd opportunit­y to promote “Brand Britain” all over the world and for years to come.

In marketing terms this is great value for money. Compare this with actual vanity projects, such as emblazonin­g Boris’s face on a helicopter, as people have done in the past. Some of us are still trying to get over Imelda Marcos!
