Scottish football is losing credibility
SIR, – As the weeks pass, Scottish football is losing credibility at an alarming rate, undoubtedly accelerated by the legal challenge of Hearts and Partick Thistle against relegation from their respective leagues.
All parties with a vested interest in the success of Scottish football should ponder on the words of Henry Kissinger, 1974 US Secretary of State, reflecting on the Paris talks that ended the Vietnam War.
“History is a tale of efforts that failed, aspirations that weren’t realised or wishes that were fulfilled and then turned out to be different from what was expected.”
