Brewer sets out plans to expand

- BY KEITH FINDLAY

Moray-based craft brewer WooHa said yesterday a “full rebrand” marked the start of plans to grow output by 17 times over the next three years.

The Kinloss business added its £1.5 million expansion plan – partly financed by a recent crowdfunder, which raised more than £600,000 in just over 19 days – would drive an increase in annual production from about 110,000 gallons to nearly two million gallons.

WooHa said it had moved away from its “cartoon cow imagery, while still paying homage to its Scottish provenance, in order to appeal to growing international markets”.

The firm has also launched five new beers.
