Concern grows for missing woman

Police are growing increasingly concerned for the wellbeing of a woman who went missing from her home on Skye nearly a month ago.

Over the weekend, officers in Portree issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of Caroline Hunt, who disappeared from her property in Edinbane with a rucksack.

The 56 - year- old is believed to have travelled to Inverness from Skye on Tuesday August 11, and has not been seen since.

She is described as 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with shoulder-length brown hair, glasses, wearing a light blue waterproof jacket and carrying a black and green Berghaus rucksack.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact Portree police on 101 quoting the reference MPR 25815 50920.
