Visitor centre offering up free day to say its own special thank-you
The Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre is hosting a special thankyou day and Christmas fair next month – and has i nv i t e d all Hi g h l a n d residents free of charge.
Over the weekend of November 28-29, between 10am and 4pm, the centre will be open for anyone with an IV, PH, KW or AB postcode.
Residents need to pre-book their slots online ahead of time and bring proof of their addresses with them to gain free access to the exhibition and events.
T he centre will be following the latest government guidelines regarding C o v i d -1 9 , including social distancing and mandatory face coverings while inside the building.
Raoul Curtis- Machin, Culloden operations manager said: “We’re so proud to play our part in protecting this important part of Scotland’s heritage and we really appreciate the support of local communities in enabling us to do all we do, for the love of Scotland.”
Visitors will be able to look around the museum, the award-winning shop, and tour the battlefield.
The Christmas fair is also free to attend and will involve social distancing and mandatory face coverings while inside the building.
There will be a one-way system round the fair, which will be inside the visitor centre.
Mr Curtis-Machin said: “Simply select the total number of adult and child tickets that you require for your group to secure your space.”
