Rishi Sunak has unveiled emergency measures as part of a £15 billion package to tackle the impact of soaring inflation – but does it go far enough?

£15 billion divided by 68 million people in the UK. That will sort things. More each if we weed out the rich lol!

James Webster

Take the VAT off petrol and diesel. That would help everyone.

Wilma Collie

I don’t understand why they don’t hit the gas & electric & take the bills down rather than go in more debt !!!

Omar Choudhury

What does he know about hardship?

Violet Anderson

I bet this is the SNP’s fault. This will rile up the Unionist cult bootlickers. Stuart Smith

The things these corrupt criminal Tories will do to deflect attention away from the worse PM in living memory.

A ‘total farce, no flow to it at all’: Press & Journal readers react to the £50m Haudagain changes

Reading all the complaints about the roundabout being quicker than the slip road, that’s easily remedied, simply ban ALL left turns at the roundabout. That’s that fixed, NEXT PROBLEM? Roger Black

The roundabout is only quicker than the sliproad because most people still stupidly use the roundabout. This is due to the way that traffic lights work. If everyone used the sliproad then it would be *much* quicker than the roundabout.

Craig Adams

Biggest waste of money 50 million pounds. Wow should have gone to fixing all the potholes.

Michael Dale

It wasn’t made for citizens! It was done to look good for future investors #clowncil #at #it #finest Aneta Szakowska

Just move the problem a bit further down the road, Aberdeen Council.

Gary Hutchison

They wanted it, they got it, now they moan about it.

It was announced that ScotRail and drivers’ union Aslef to resume talks over pay dispute

Over 30% of trains from the NE cut. They should be ashamed of themselves, as should ScotRail.

Rita Mackenzie

Why haven’t they recruited enough staff, Covid or not? Plenty out of work! it’s a UK-wide problem in case you hadn’t noticed? It takes years to “train” new drivers. ScotRail have 150 in training just now, just the unions (Labour funded) have told the train drivers to not work rest days and any overtime until they get this wage rise

Barry Sharpe

£50,000 a year, not bad wages.

Jim Strachan
