The 43-year-old said he aims to create a “welcoming atmosphere”, will serve “good quality food” and is extremely positive about the future.

FEARS FOR EAT ON THE GREEN FUTURE
Elsewhere in Aberdeenshire, concerns have been raised for the future of the famous Eat on the Green restaurant. The venue, in Udny Green, has been on the market since May last year.
Since it opened in 2004, it has gained a reputation as one of the best places to eat in the north-east, and it boasts the status of being a two-AA Rosette destination.
However, if a buyer isn’t found by the end of September, fears have been raised it may shut.
In a recent video posted on social media, husband and wife owners Craig Wilson – known as The Kilted Chef – and Lindsay said it might need to close for good if no buyer is secured by September 28.
In the video, Lindsay announced the pair’s plans for their “next chapter”. She said: “We just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for your custom and your loyalty and your support over all those years.
“It really has been such a privilege to look after you and share those special life moments.”
And Craig described the past two decades as a “rollercoaster”, but that he has “no regrets”.
He added: “Everything will stay exactly the same until the minute that we close.”
Special events will take place to mark the end of the couple’s reign at the restaurant, which Mr Wilson said will be “the best summer ever”.
