Man, 28, accused of dealing drugs
A Moray man has appeared in court on a drugs charge following a police swoop where £3,000 of heroin was seized.
Shaun Willets, whose address was given only as Elgin, is accused of being concerned in the supply of the class A substance.
The 28-year-old appeared in the dock at Elgin Sheriff Court yesterday, where he made no plea in response to the charge.
He was remanded in custody until his next appearance, which is expected to take place next week.
Police said yesterday that £3,000 worth of heroin had been confiscated during a raid in Elgin at the weekend. Constable Rosanagh Davison said: “The north-east division is committed to ensuring our communities are hos- tile places to deal drugs, and we will continue to actively target people who are involved in this activity.”
Anyone with information regarding individuals who may be involved in drugs has been urged contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111, if they would prefer to remain anonymous.
