Driver seriously injured in crash
Passat on the B9031 Sandhaven to Rosehearty road. She had to be cut out of the car by fire crews and was stretchered onto an air ambulance, which took her to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.
Yesterday, a spokeswoman for the police could not provide information on the occupants of both cars, but said the woman who had been taken to hospital had suffered “serious” injuries.
She added: “There has been a serious collision between Sandhaven and Rosehearty, and police are in attendance.
“It was reported at about 1.20pm. There is one female with serious injuries.”
The road was closed for several hours after the incident. Another patient was treated by paramedics and is believed to have suffered minor injuries.
