Investigation into care home
An Elgin care home is being investigated by Health and Social Care Moray after concerns raised by a national watchdog.
Officers met representatives from the Care Inspectorate earlier this week, and heard feedback from a recent inspection of Spynie Care Home on Duffus Road.
None of the concerns relate to allegations of physical abuse or criminal activity.
An investigation will now be carried out into the quality of care and support at the home.
A spokesman for Health and Social Care Moray said: “We have begun the process of contacting relatives and will work closely with all parties to address the concerns and to ensure the ongoing wellbeing of all residents.”
The home, which is owned by Intobeige Ltd, will not take in any new admissions until the Care Inspectorate and Health and Social Care Moray are satisfied all issues and concerns have been dealt with.
