Two sides af­ter for­mer El­gin player

For­mer El­gin City full-back Jordan Allan, now with Stir­ling Al­bion, has at­tracted the in­ter­est of two full-time teams.

The for­mer Dundee United young­ster, who has also played for Morton, Mon­trose and Ir­ish side Col­eraine, was con­verted from an at­tacker to a left­back at El­gin.

Stir­ling boss Dave MacKay said: “Jordan has at­tracted in­ter­est quickly. Two full-time sides have been in touch.”

Reds Ladies name change

Liver­pool have an­nounced their women’s team has been re­named and will now be known as Liver­pool FC Women. The side, pre­vi­ously known as Liver­pool Ladies, last sea­son came sixth in the Women’s Su­per League.

Car­doso leaves Ibrox

Fabio Car­doso has left Rangers af­ter the club con­firmed they had agreed to end his con­tract early. The 24-year-old joined the club last sum­mer for a fee be­lieved to be over £1 mil­lion un­der for­mer boss Pe­dro Caix­inha, but strug­gled to im­press.
