For­mer Don Ma­gen­nis off to Bolton

Bolton have signed for­mer Aberdeen striker Josh Ma­gen­nis on a two-year deal.

North­ern Ire­land in­ter­na­tional Ma­gen­nis, who has also played for Kil­marnock, cost a re­ported £200,000 from Charl­ton Ath­letic.

Sven-Go­ran Eriks­son has held dis­cus­sions to be­come the coach of Cameroon.

The Cameroon Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion has con­firmed talks were held with the 70-year-old for­mer Eng­land man­ager about the role, which has been va­cant since Hugo Broos left when his con­tract ended in Fe­bru­ary.

Mahrez to re­turn

Winger Riyad Mahrez has been given the all-clear to re­turn to train­ing af­ter suf­fer­ing an an­kle in­jury in the pre-sea­son friendly against Bay­ern Mu­nich.

Rose­nior retires

Liam Rose­nior has re­tired from pro­fes­sional foot­ball at the age of 34.

The full-back, who had no­table pro­mo­tion-win­ning spells with the likes of Hull and Brighton in a 16-year pro­fes­sional ca­reer, made close to 450 se­nior ap­pear­ances.

Rose­nior will now join Brighton’s coach­ing staff as well as work­ing as a tele­vi­sion pun­dit.
