Church choir on song to raise funds

A north-east church choir is host­ing a fundrais­ing event this week­end.

The singers from Peter­head New Par­ish Church will hold a but­tery morn­ing on Satur­day at 10am.

It is tak­ing place at the church hall on St Peter Street, Peter­head. Or­gan­ist Adam Hor­ton will be per­form­ing songs along­side the mem­bers of the choir.

All are wel­come and en­try is £2.

An­chor Boys’ car boot sale

The 4th and 5th Fraser­burgh An­chor Boys are hold­ing an in­door car boot sale in the port this Satur­day.

It is tak­ing place at the St An­drews Hall on the town’s Mid Street be­tween 10am and 3pm.

Ta­bles cost £10 and can be booked by call­ing 01346 510852 or 01346 519191.

Tea and cof­fee and baked goods will also be on sale at the event.

Car­ols round the vil­lage

The sound of Christ­mas car­ols will be heard across Strichen at an event later this month.

Strichen School As­so­ci­a­tion is host­ing the fes­tive singing ex­trav­a­ganza around the vil­lage on Sun­day De­cem­ber 16 at 6pm.

The singing pro­ces­sion will leave from the school on Hil­lview be­fore walk­ing to the town hall.

Cru­den Bay carol ser­vice

Cru­den Bay Con­gre­ga­tional Church will hold its Christ­mas carol ser­vice next week.

It takes place at the church on the vil­lage’s Main Street on Wed­nes­day at 7pm.

All are wel­come and a hot drink and mince pie will be served.

Mu­seum to host Santa

Peter­head’s Ar­buth­not Mu­seum is play­ing host to Santa on Satur­day De­cem­ber 15.

It will be open be­tween 10.30am and 2.30pm. En­try is £5.
