Archie among most renowned foundations
The Archie Foundation has become one of the northeast’s most well-known charity organisations.
And it is involved in raising funds for the Baird Family Hospital Appeal, scheduled for completion in 2021.
A spokeswoman said yesterday: “The appeal has started strongly with a successful launch at The Chester Hotel along with partner charities Friends of Anchor and Aberdeen University.
“Friends of the Neonatal Unit travelled to New York last month with 20 runners who were all taking part in the NYC Marathon and helped raise £30,00 for the neonatal unit.
“It was amazing for all of our runners and we plan to recruit 50 more to take part in 2019 to continue fundraising for the Appeal.
“More recently, Graham and Gillian Wood and the Chester Hotel team raised an incredible £250,000 with Scotland’s Fine Dining Signature Festival at The Chester.
“Both Graham and Gillian are Archie patrons and have committed to helping raise money for The Baird Family Hospital’s Patient Hotel.”
