Date for Ross County cup semi-fi­nal

Ross County’s IRNBRU Cup semi-fi­nal against Bo­hemi­ans or East Fife will take place on Fri­day Fe­bru­ary 15 (7.45pm kick-off ).

The match is be­ing tele­vised live on BT Sport and BBC Alba.

The other semi­fi­nal be­tween Con­noah’s Quay No­mads and Edinburgh City takes place the fol­low­ing day at 7.25pm and will be shown on S4C.

Gomez has frac­tured leg

Liver­pool have con­firmed that Joe Gomez suf­fered a lower leg frac­ture dur­ing Wed­nes­day’s Premier League vic­tory over Burn­ley.

And t he Reds say ini­tial in­di­ca­tions sug­gest h e could be side­lined for up to six weeks.

Eng­land de­fender Gomez was car­ried off mid­way through the first half at Turf Moor fol­low­ing a chal­lenge with Ben Mee, with Liver­pool go­ing on to claim a 3-1 win.

Cook out for nine months

Bournemouth’s Eng­land mid­fielder Lewis Cook will be side­lined for six to nine months with a rup­tured an­te­rior cru­ci­ate lig­a­ment, the club have an­nounced.

The 21-year-old suf­fered the se­ri­ous knee in­jury dur­ing the 2-1 Premier League vic­tory over Hud­der­s­field on Tues­day.

Cook was as­sessed by the club’s med­i­cal staff af­ter the game and fur­ther assess­ment and scans yes­ter­day re­vealed the ex­tent of the dam­age to his right knee.

In the same match, Hud­der­s­field mid­fielder Ab­del­hamid Sabiri was ruled out for two months af­ter break­ing his col­lar­bone.

Sabiri, 22, sus­tained the in­jury three min­utes af­ter step­ping off the bench at the Vi­tal­ity
