Thornton aims to be a legend again
ANDREW Thornton is hoping it will be second time lucky when he rides in the legends race at Chepstow next Saturday in aid of the Bob Champion Cancer Trust.
Thornton, who retired earlier this year after riding more than 1,000 winners, finished second on Detachment in the Leger Legends race at Doncaster last month. Reports that he is to become a jockeys’ agent are wide of the mark. He plans to continue his media work for ITV, William Hill TV and ATR while also helping his wife Yvonne with her flourishing flower business.
