The Racing Paper - - Trends And Diary -

ALFIE Bradstock regularly schooled Coneygree before his stunning victory in the 2015 Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The grandson of the great amateur rider and journalist Lord Oaksey, he briefly toyed with the idea of becoming a jockey, too. Today at the age of 24 he is a highly successful show jumper with his own complex near Wantage close to the yard where his parents Mark and Sarah continue to train a team of jumpers including Coneygree. Alfie reached new heights when he was joint winner of the Puissance at the Horse of the Year Show in 2018 after his horse cleared 7ft 1in.
