… another prepares to steam at Embsay

-

EMBSAYBASED Andrew Barclay 0-4-0ST No. 22 (2320/1952) is expected to return to steam later this year after more than two decades out of use.

It is expected to be outshopped with the number 54 – the identity it carried during the first 11 years it worked at East Hetton Colliery in County Durham.

The loco is nearing the end of a major overhaul at Embsay, which has involved significant boiler repairs.

These are being completed by Heritage Boiler Steam Services near Liverpool, while the bottom end has been overhauled at Embsay.
