Welsh lines promote discount scheme to generate cash flow

-

THE Great Little Trains of Wales (GLToW) has organised a scheme for pre-ordering of gold and discount cards, with income to be shared between all the Welsh member railways.

This follows the closure of all narrow-gauge railways in Wales because of Covid-19.

The objective is to generate income to support staff, volunteers and the future of the railways, in advance of welcoming visitors back when the coronavirus crisis subsides.

A discount card costing £15 offers a 20% reduction in the price normally paid at each individual railway.

A gold card costing £150 provides a pre-paid return journey on 10 of the railways, the Snowdon Mountain Railway not being included in this element of the scheme.

Both cards become valid from their first use, so when visitors return to Wales and use the cards they are then valid for 12 months.
