Eversholt agrees hydrogen power partnership
EVERSHOLT Rail has entered into an agreement with hydrogen network operator H2 Green to determine what would be required to support the widescale deployment of hydrogenpowered rolling stock. The firms will collaborate on determining production and infrastructure needs for the delivery of low cost and reliable supplies of green hydrogen, which can be made by using renewable energy through the electrolysis of water. H2 Green is working on the development of a network of large-scale hydrogen production hubs in the UK. Rolling stock leasing firm Eversholt has an established relationship with Alstom, which developed the hydrogenpowered Coradia iLint trains, first used in Germany in 2018.
