Stradbally aims for a reopening in 2022

-

THE 3ft gauge Stradbally Woodland Railway is to remain closed for the remainder of the year. The line says the ongoing uncertainty regarding public health guidelines means it is not feasible to reopen this year for what would be a very limited service. It is hoped to resume operations next spring, subject to the public heath situation. Essential maintenance will continue on the site during the rest of the summer and over the winter to ensure the railway can reopen as soon as possible. In the meantime, wellwishers can support the railway by donating online at iDonate.ie/IrishSteam to its SupportOurSteam appeal.
