‘Austerity’ for Lamport gala

THE Norfolk Heritage Steam Railway Ltd’s 1944-built Hunslet ‘Austerity’ 0-6-0ST No. 3193 was expected to star at the Northampton & Lamport Railway’s Bank Holiday Gala on August 28-30.

The Bressinghambased loco was to work an intensive mix of passenger and freight trains alongside resident Hawthorn Leslie 0-4-0ST Swanscombe No. 4 (3718/1928).
