S&D exhibits cooperation

TWO organisations dedicated to preserving the memories of the Somerset & Dorset Railway (S&D) have agreed to formally work together. The former Washford-based S&D Railway Trust (S&DRT) will place some of its artefacts on long-term display at the Somerset & Dorset Heritage Railway Trust’s (S&DHRT) Midsomer Norton site. These will include several large station running-in boards from the northern half of the S&D, while other items from the S&DRT collection will be displayed on a shorter-term, rotating basis.
