Coach disposal mystery solved

IT is rare today, where social media seems to report virtually every move, that a vehicle could go unreported for scrap. However, back in March, three HST Mk.3 coaches left Doncaster Wabtec by road to EMR Attercliffe. Two were identified on the road, namely TS No. 42502 and

TGS No. 44029. Initial reports indicated the third vehicle may have been TS No. 42503, but this was questioned as it was thought to have been a second TGS. Doubts were confirmed when

No. 42503 reappeared outside Wabtec towards the end of September. An approach to Wabtec by The Railway Magazine confirmed the third vehicle was indeed TGS

No. 44032.
