Hull milestone
HULL Trains has now been operating its direct rail route to London from Hull for 21 years. Its first train from King’s Cross set off in September 2000, a year that would see 80,000 passengers carried between the capital city and Paragon Station, and in 2005 the one millionth passenger was on board.
Friday, October 8 will see a special event held at
Hull Paragon Station, with a commemorative anniversary design being unveiled on the fifth and final unit of Class
802 ‘Paragon’ bi-mode fleet. The train will then depart at 10.33 on its maiden journey to London.
