Bidders for Solihull and Washwood Heath
LAING O’Rourke Construction, Skanska Construction UK and Unity (a joint Sir Robert McAlpine and VolkerFitzpatrick venture) have been short-listed for the £370 million contract to develop and build HS2’s interchange station at Solihull.
Three bids have also been short-listed for the
£275 million project to build the network’s Washwood Heath control centre and rolling stock depot. Gülermak is competing with two joint tenders, one from VINCI Construction UK Ltd (trading as Taylor Woodrow) and Keltbray Ltd, and the other from VolkerFitzpatrick Ltd and Volker Rail Ltd.
