Phase 2b business case will explore Covid-19 impact

TRANSPORT Minister Baroness Vere has confirmed that the strategic outline business case for the Phase 2b Western Leg of HS2 will use demand scenarios that explore the impact of Covid-19.

The Minister added: “HS2 is a long-term project and delivers travel opportunities over a long period of time, limiting any shorter-term effects of Covid on travel patterns.”
