Double launch at RH & DR

HAVING appeared at the Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway’s July 10/11 gala following overhaul at John Fowler Engineering (RM, September), the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway’s (RH & DR) Krupp 4-6-2 No. 11 Black Prince returned to its Kent home. It was back in service on September 4, after having been out of traffic since 2014. The relaunch of Black Prince was combined with officially opening the RH & DR Association’s Heritage Centre, located in the old paint shop, by the Mayor of New Romney, Paul Thomas. The next RH & DR loco to be overhauled is YEC 4-6-2 No. 10 Doctor Syn.
