Yorks Wolds acquires a loco from industry

FEW classic UK-built diesel shunters remain in industry, but the embryonic Yorkshire Wolds Railway has been able to secure 0-6-0DH Fowler 4240017 of 1966 from OMYA UK Ltd, Humber Industrial Estate, East Yorkshire. It has been stored in a shed for the past decade. It arrived at the YWR’s Fimber site on June 24. The railway is open every Sunday in October.
