Testing phase begins for Werrington diveunder

OVER the weekend of September 4/5, Network Rail engineers commissioned the signalling system at the Werrington dive-under, north of Peterborough, marking another milestone in the £1.2bn ECML upgrade. Work on testing 8km of train in and around the tunnel along with the signalling will take place, ready for the dive-under to come into operation later in the year.
