071 logo application creates backlash

-

IRISH Rail’s decision to apply its corporate logo to the cab ends of retro-liveried 071 Class pioneer No. 071 in August prompted many enthusiasts to take to social media to air their opinion on the controversial move. As a consequence, and with the aid of photo editing software and a wry sense of humour, images started to appear showing the logo applied to a variety of other locomotives and stock, including on the side of Great Southern & Western Railway 2-2-2 No. 36.
