Captain Sir Tom still raising money for charity

-

The ‘Pride of Britain’ train pack produced for charity by Bachmann, inspired by Captain Sir Tom Moore’s fundraising achievement in 2020, has been a huge success. Officials from Bachmann Europe visited the GB Railfreight/EMD Roberts Road Rail Maintenance Depot in Doncaster where Class 66 No. 66731 Capt. Tom Moore was in residence, and presented a cheque for £60,000 which will be donated to NHS Charities Together. A limited number of each pack – containing a model of No. 66731 and two aircraft, Hurricane LF363 and Spitfire MK356, which performed a flypast on Captain Tom’s 100th birthday – are available in N and OO gauge. The OO has an optional sound fitting. They are available direct from Bachmann Collectors club www.bachmanncollectorsclub.co.uk or by calling 01455 245565.
