‘Hidden’ Hornby collection fetches £21k

A model railway collection built up by toy enthusiast, the late Adrian Batty, has been sold at auction for £21,000 after it was discovered by his wife following his death in 2020. While she was aware he collected model locomotives and rolling stock, she did not realise the extent of the collection until going into the room for the first time. It included many rare items from Hornby Dublo from between 1938 and 1963 in original packaging.
