KWVR GALA WELCOMES TWO BIRMINGHAM RCW PIONEERS:

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway’s September 10-12 gala saw Railfreigh­t grey-liveried Class 26 No. 26007 (D5300) visiting from Barrow Hill, and the first Class 27, blue-liveried, No. 27001 (D5347), from the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway. The BRCW Type 2 pair were believed to be working together for the first time in preservati­on (RM Sept. 82). Nos. 27001 and 26007 are seen at Oakworth with the 14.15 Oxenhope to Keighley service on October 10.
