Steam Dreams adds more main line Santa specials

Popular excursions hauled by Mayflower to run from London Victoria.

MAIN Line ‘Santa Specials’ are fairly unusual, so it is no surprise that Steam Dreams’ operation aimed at young families is proving so popular. Demand for seats on the ‘Santa’ and evening dining trains has led to an additional date – December 14 – being added.

The Santa trains will work a short circular route of 1hr 45mins duration from London Victoria on December 13, 14, 20 and 22, with departure times at 09.20, 12.00 and 14.15.

Fares start from £35 for standard Class tickets, £20 for children. In first class, fares are £55 adult and £40 child.

All children aged two-plus will receive a drink, sweet treat and a gift from Santa. Adults can order hot and cold beverages from on board waiting staff.

On the same days, an evening dining train will operate, departing from Victoria at

18.40, with the trip crossing the River Thames at least six times during its journey as it works its way through west London. Passengers will be served a three-course meal, with soft and alcoholic drinks purchased from the wine list.

Fares are £159 Pullman style dining, £159 premier dining, with a standard class nondining seat at £49. Bookings can be made on 01483 209888.
