Colne Valley to operate a ‘full-set’ HST

-

A group of Colne Valley Railway (CVR) volunteers has formed 125 Heritage Ltd in order to preserve and operate a small fleet of Inter-City 125 vehicles on the Essex line. The train will be used for dining and special running days, with services due to start at Easter.

Three power cars are now at Castle Hedingham. First to arrive, on October 21, was No. 43082, then No. 43073 Neville Hill on November 3, and ex-FGW

No. 43071 on November 5, all from storage at Long Marston. The first two are in well-kept EMR livery, which will be retained for the time being, while the third is in First Group dark blue.

Three Mk.3 passenger vehicles were purchased in May 2021 and moved to the CVR. These are TRFB No. 40706, TFO

No. 41088, and TGS No. 44058. For more information visit 125heritage.co.uk
