‘Deltic’ and ‘A1’ run together

CLASS 55 No. 55019 Royal Highland Fusilier will be starring alongside ‘A1’ replica No. 60163 Tornado at an East Coast-themed event at the Great Central Railway on January 15/16.

The ‘Deltic’ will work three diagrams, including a freight, on each day. The greenliveried Class 101 DMU will also be in traffic.

■ The Deltic Preservation Society says No. 55019 will move to the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway for its spring diesel gala on April 22-24, and then operate on other selected dates until the early summer, including driver experience days on the four Fridays in May.
