Sweet outcome for limestone
A PARTNERSHIP between DCRail and road haulier
Rory J Holbrook has brought limestone traffic for sugar production in East Anglia back to the rail network.
Used to remove impurities from sugar beet during the rendering process, 7000 tonnes of limestone per week will be moved by rail in new high capacity wagons from the Peak District to the Holbrook depot at Brandon in Suffolk, completing the few miles to factories by road.
