Covid passports required widely in Europe

THE German Government introduced rules requiring proof of covid vaccination (or recovery/ daily negative test) to use any public transport from November 24, months after ruling out a more limited plan to mandate such requirements for long distance trains. Police and transport operator staff were enforcing the new rules with spot checks. Similar rules have applied in Austria since November, and for high-speed and overnight trains in both France and Italy.
