Accurascale progresses its new OO gauge ‘Manors’

-

Accurascale has whetted the appetites of Western Region enthusiasts with the release of images of decorated samples of its forthcoming 4mm scale ‘Manor’ models. Delivery is anticipated by late in the second quarter of this year. Decorated samples are a significant milestone ahead of full production, allowing liveries to be assessed as well as ironing out the remaining kinks prior to the commencement of full production. Several areas have been identified for improvement, which will now be fed back to the factory – including the colour of the copper chimney cap being too red. The front coupling will be adjusted to ensure it can be stowed on the hook – while the nameplates will be fully etched and factory fitted. Other forthcoming ‘Manor’ models include two further preserved examples – No. 7819 Hinton Manor in plain GWR green and No. 7820 Dinmore Manor in BR lined black with early crest.

?? ?? The decorated samples consisted of two preserved examples – Severn Valley-based No. 7812 Earlestroke Manor (left) in BR lined green livery with late BR crest, and No. 7808 Cookham Manor (right), which is displayed at Didcot Railway Centre.
