Model Rail Scotland exhibition set for 2022 return

More than 40 layouts are due to be exhibited at Model Rail Scotland, set to be held on February 25-27 in Hall 3 of the Scottish Event Campus, Glasgow. They are expected to be joined by a host of names large and small, including Bachmann, Peco, Squires Models & Craft Tools and Hornby, plus specialist trade and society stands. Modelling demonstrat­ions are also due to take place. Advance tickets are available, allowing entry 30 minutes earlier for holders. The show times for non-ticket holders will be Friday and Saturday 10.00–16.00 and Sunday 10.30–17.00. Visitors must show they have been fully vaccinated or have tested negative for Covid-19 in the 24 hours before attendance, or demonstrat­e they are exempt in accordance with Scottish Government guidelines. Face coverings are required by visitors and exhibitors. Entry will be denied to anyone unable to show exemption, full vaccinatio­ns or negative tests; hard or electronic copies will be accepted. In February 1997 at Glasgow Central station, SPT Class 320 No. 320306 was named Model Rail Scotland. AMRSS Ltd have joined up with Revolution Trains to acknowledg­e this important part of the show’s history to bring together a limited edition model in N gauge which will be released at the show.
