Okehampton LSWR loco

THE presence of the conductor rails shows the photo on page 23 was taken after the Edwardian period quoted in the caption, as the LSWR started electrification later than this and the first line opened in 1915. In fact, the same shot appears in D L Bradley’s book on LSWR locomotives and the date is given as mid-1918; the photographer was F E Mackay.
