North Star arrives at North Yorks

THE Diesel & Electric Preservation Group’s Class 47 No. 47077 North Star has arrived at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway for the start of a two-year stay. The Type 4 left the West Somerset Railway for Pickering on Thursday,

January 17, arriving on

January 20 after a weekend stopover in Redditch.

The loco entered preservation on the WSR at the end of May 2007. However, it has been out of action since 2008 undergoing restoration.
