Phased resumption of WMM services
WITH a programme of permanent repairs to underframe cracks on trams said to be progressing well, a phased resumption of West Midlands Metro operations is underway.
From December 15, services began to run again at a frequency of up to every 10 minutes between Wolverhampton and Bull Street only. The introduction of new trams, which have been ordered to augment services as the network is extended, was expected to help the situation. Midland Metro Limited said it hoped to extend the service to Library “at the earliest opportunity”.
